Salty Sweater Knitting Pattern

The Salty Sweater is a drop shoulder turtleneck pullover. It is a classic design that will enrich your wardrobe because it pairs well with everything. It is designed to sit right on your hip level in length, but it can easily be made longer since it is constructed from the top down. Neckline is shaped with a ”dip” in the back and the front to influence the boxy fit while making minimum short rows to shape the shoulders. Sweater is framed with the classic 2 x 2 rib around the neckline, waist and the cuffs.
A few videos are included in the pattern. 10 to 20 cm / 4” to 8” of positive ease is built in to the pattern, chose your size based on how much ease you prefer.

Bust circumference of the finished sweater with ease built in; XS 100, S 105, M 110, L 115, XL 125, 2XL 135, 3XL 145, 4XL 155, 5XL 165 cm, approximately (XS 39½”, S 41¼”, M 43¼”, L 45¼”, XL 49”, 2XL 53”, 3XL 56½”, 4XL 61“, 5XL 64¼”). Featured in size M on a 93 cm / 36½“ bust.
Gauge
Main, 22 stitches by 32 rows =10 x 10 cm (4” x 4”) using size US 6 / 4.00 mm needles in stockinette stitch, after washing and blocking.
Neck ribbing, 30 - 32 stitches =10 cm (4”) using size US 2.5 / 3.00 mm
needles in 2 x 2 rib stitch (k2, p2), after washing and blocking.
Suggested Yarn
The Salty Sweater is made with dk weight yarn, you will need approximately 275, (275), 300, (350), 350, (375), 400, (450), 450 grams of Lamana Yarns “Como”, 25 grams = 120 meters / 130 yards. Sample is featured in color “03”.
Suggested Needles
US 6 / 4.00 mm 80 cm / 32” circular knitting needles or needles to obtain gauge for the main body and double pointed needles or short 25 - 30 cm / 10” - 12” short tip needles for the sleeves+
US 4 / 3.50 mm 80 cm / 32” for the body ribbing+
US 2.5 / 3.00 mm small circumference 25 - 30 cm / 10” - 12” short tip needles or double pointed needles for the neck ribbing and sleeve cuffs. Larger sizes can use 35 - 40 cm / 14” - 16” for the neck ribbing.
