Thank you so much for your interest in test knitting with me, it truly means a lot. Below you’ll find a few helpful details about what it means to be a test knitter, along with answers to some frequently asked questions.

What is a test knitter?

As a test knitter, you’ll have the opportunity to knit the design before it’s officially released. Your role is to help ensure the pattern is clearly written, the instructions are easy to follow, and that the garment fits as intended.

Is there a deadline?

Yes, most tests run for approximately 5 to 6 weeks from the time you receive your yarn. The specific due date will be shared in advance.

What does the due date include?

By the due date, you’ll need to have completed the garment and submitted the feedback form. This also gives time to upload your finished project to Ravelry and prepare any photos you’d like to share. The design is typically released a few days after the test is complete.

Is feedback required?

Yes. Each tester is asked to complete a short feedback form by the due date. You’re also welcome, and encouraged, to participate in the group chat for additional discussion, but you’re not required to email me directly with notes.

What is the group chat?

A private chat is created for everyone testing the same design. It’s a place to share insights, ask questions, offer encouragement, and connect with fellow knitters throughout the process.

Who are you looking for in a test knitter?

I look for knitters who are engaged, reliable, and excited about the design. Testers should have a public Instagram profile and a Ravelry account to share their finished object.

Can I make changes to the pattern?

Small modifications are sometimes allowed.

How the process works:

To get started, simply submit your email below. When a new test knit is available, I’ll send out an invitation email with a short application form. Please note: this email list is used exclusively for test knitting opportunities, you’ll only receive promotional content if you’ve signed up for my main newsletter.

Testers are selected within 1–4 days of applying. If chosen, you’ll receive the pattern PDF and be added to the group chat with the other participants.

Thank you again for your interest, I truly appreciate your time, skill, and enthusiasm. I can’t wait to knit with you.

Warmly,

Sabina~
